Simcere Pharmaceutical Group (NYSE: SCR), a leading manufacturer and supplier of branded generic pharmaceuticals and manufacturer of the patented anti-cancer biotech product Endu in China, today announces the appointment of Mr. Mark Chen, Pei-Chi as Vice President of Marketing and the promotion of Baoxing Zha and Dasheng Sun as the Vice Presidents of Hospital Sales and Retail Sales respectively.
The company also announces that Mr. Yat Ming Chu has resigned as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, together with the departure of Mr. Eric Wang Lam Cheung as Vice President of Investor Relations.
Mark Chen joins Simcere from the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co's international arm, Merck Sharp & Dohme, where he was most recently the Business Unit Director based in Taiwan. Prior to Merck, Mark held senior
management roles at Procter & Gamble Greater China and at Softchina Venture Group, a venture capital firm.
Mr. Boxing Zha joined Simcere in 1996 with over 12 years of hospital sales experience and most recently served as General Manager of Simcere Shanghai. Mr. Dasheng Sun joined Simcere in 2001 and was formerly the General Manager of Business Development with extensive experience in both commercial and retail pharmaceutical sales.
